Updated: Oct 13, 2020
Meet singer-songwriter Stella Jang, signed under Grandline Entertainment, she is an extremely talented lyricist and artist. With the release of her first album ‘STELLA I’ on the 8th of April, 2020, we discuss her song ‘Villain’ which addresses the ideology that “human beings are neither good nor evil”. Stella Jang is a truly credible artist and powerhouse.

What are your earliest memories of music?
I grew up with classical music because my mum always played classical music. I also attended a piano academy which is quite common in Korea if you are young, but I wasn't really interested at that time, so I didn't know that I would do music later.
What inspired you to create music?
I usually write down a lot of things that I remember or see or feel. I think I'll collect those things and make a song with them.
What is the story/message does your new single 'Villain' convey?
Villain' is not a single album, but one of the double title tracks of my first full-length album 'STELLA I'. It is thought that human beings are absolutely neither good nor evil, and that somebody's hero can be someone else's villain.

What artists inspired the overall sound of your new single 'Villain'?
"When it comes to 'Villain' only, I have been musically inspired by various music I’ve been listening to, but there isn't any specific artist that comes to mind. It's written in my album noteS like this. “Whether you want it or not, humans inevitably seem to be living with heroes and villains. I wanted to give the main character a villain at least once, who is relatively neglected.”
Do you have a message for fans/ new listeners?
Thank you for listening to my music. I will do my best in the future.
